Rescue work

Your project is stuck. Let's get it shipping again.

Maybe the agency walked. Maybe the AI model worked in demo and fell over the moment real users touched it. Maybe the SaaS platform is unstable, the native iOS or Android app is breaking, or the backend bills tripled overnight. We've seen all of that this year. Tell us what's happening and we'll tell you, honestly, whether it's worth fixing or rebuilding.

Working with UK teams across fintech, retail, SaaS and the public sector

What we usually hear when teams come to us

It worked in staging. Production is a different story.

Real traffic finds the bugs your test suite never did. AI models drift, user flows break, native app releases hit device-specific failures, APIs time out when 200 users hit them at once. We dig into actual logs, find the real failure mode, and put guardrails where they should have been on day one.

The original team is gone, the repo is a mystery

We inherit plenty of these. Five-day audit: someone senior reads every line, runs the system end-to-end, talks to whoever's left. You get a written verdict. Sometimes the right answer is fix, sometimes it's rebuild for less than the next round of patches. We won't lie to keep the engagement.

The bill is bigger than payroll

Almost always fixable. AI inference, cloud spend, third-party APIs, the same database query running 200 times an hour. Profile, cache, route, right-size. 40 to 70 percent cuts are normal once we look properly.

Legal blocked your launch

Built for a demo, not a CISO. We've retrofitted enough auth, audit logs, PII handling, retention policies and consent flows to get teams across the line for SOC 2, UK GDPR, the Australian Privacy Act and a few sector-specific regimes. You usually don't need to throw the work away.

How a typical engagement actually runs

Day 1 to 5: Honest audit

An engineer (a real one, with a name) reads the code, hits it with real traffic, and writes you a report. Not a deck. What's salvageable, what isn't, what fixing will cost, what rebuilding would cost. Fixed fee, useful even if you walk after.

Week 2 to 6: Stabilise

Fix the bleeding first. Failing eval scores, crashing screens, runaway cost, the broken integration that's losing customers. Ship behind a flag with monitoring and rollback. Big-bang rewrites only happen if we agree they're cheaper, which is rarer than you'd think.

Week 6 onwards: Hand back, or stay

Clean code, runbooks your team can actually use, no proprietary plumbing of ours holding you hostage. We hand back. If you want us around for the next phase, fine. If not, also fine. Genuinely no lock-in.

Things people usually ask

Discovery call inside a week. Audit report inside two. We're senior engineers, not a body shop, so there's no two-week onboarding theatre.

No. About half the rescues we run are non-AI: Next.js front-ends, native Swift and Kotlin apps, SaaS platforms, Node.js and NestJS APIs, PostgreSQL bottlenecks, and AWS setups that grew faster than they were designed for. Same audit, same approach.

We say so in the audit and quote the rebuild. Roughly a third of rescue requests we look at, the right answer is a different architecture entirely. We tell you, you decide.

Standard NDA before the discovery call, UK GDPR or Australian Privacy Act-compliant DPA before any data access. The contracting entity is Cropsly Solutions Pvt Ltd (CIN U72900PB2019PTC048985).

That's the default. We sit alongside, transfer knowledge as we go, and write the runbooks so your team owns the system at the end. We're not trying to become permanent.

You. Source code, model weights, training data, prompts, designs, documentation, all of it transfers on delivery. We keep no rights to your business logic.

6 to 12 weeks, 1 to 3 people. The 5-day audit is its own fixed-fee thing, and quite a few clients buy that on its own as a sanity check before deciding what to do.

Tell us what's broken.

An actual engineer reads it the same day. You'll hear back inside one business day during UK business hours.

We comply with the UK GDPR. Your details are used to reply to this enquiry, nothing else. See our privacy policy.
